1. Information We Collect
When you use Kinneed, we collect the following information:
- Account data — your full name and email address, provided at registration.
- Family data — family name, family code, and the role you choose (parent or child).
- App content — needs (title, amount, category, status), notes you write, and any items or availability dates you add.
- Usage metadata — timestamps for when content is created or updated.
We do not collect location data, payment information, device identifiers, or data from third-party sources.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Kinneed service for your family group.
- To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
- To display your family's needs, notes, and member information within the app.
- To send optional push notifications (only if you enable them on your device).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), hosted on Google's infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Access to family data is restricted by Firestore security rules — only authenticated members of the same family can read that family's data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is shared only with:
- Google Firebase — our backend infrastructure provider.
- Other members of your own family group within the app, according to their role permissions.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and disassociates you from your family group.
6. Children's Privacy
Children's accounts must be created and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental involvement.
7. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (via in-app account deletion or by contacting us).
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using Kinneed, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or that a parent or guardian has authorised your use) and that you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Use of the App
- You may use Kinneed solely for personal, non-commercial family management purposes.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- You must not use the app to upload unlawful, harmful, or offensive content.
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the app or its infrastructure.
3. Family Data & Shared Content
When you create or join a family group, other members of that group can see the content you add (needs, notes visible to all). Notes marked "Parents only" are visible exclusively to parent-role members. You are solely responsible for the content you post within your family group.
4. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Kinneed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for any loss of data or indirect damages arising from your use of the app.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kinneed and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance.
